NAVY CHILDREN SCHOOL CELEBRATES ANNUAL DAY : The Navy Children School, Secondary Wing, Nausena Baugh, Visakhapatnam celebrated its Annual Day with gaiety and splendour at the Naval Auditorium, Samudrika on the 19 December 07. 350 students of the school enthralled the spectators by presenting the cultural items in a colourful medley representing, the Central theme-‘Many colours-one Dream – Indradhanush. The programme was a breathtaking ensemble of dances, songs, a dance drama and a hilarious English play. Vice Admiral Raman P Suthan, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command, the chief guest on the occasion, lauded the efforts and congratulated the children on putting up an excellent show.
The guest of honour Mrs. Beena Suthan, President Naval Wives Welfare Association (Easter Region) gave away the prizes to meritorious students in different fields. Mr. Ranjit Alexander, the Principal welcomed the audience and presented the Annual Report of the school.

NAVY BALL 2007 : Navy ball 2007 was held at Naval Officers' Institute, Vizag on 08 December, 2007. Vice Adm RP Suthan AVSM VSM Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command was the chief guest for the event. A large number of civilian dignitaries, senior naval officers and members from the corporate world were present at the occasion. The main attractions of the event included performances by pop artist 'Leslie Lewis and his band', 'Acrobats', 'fire dancers', a 'fashion show' and music by 'DJ Piyush'. The traditional 'Navy Queen' contest was revived and conducted at Vizag after a gap of 16 years. Ms Parvathy Omna Kuttan was adjudged as winner of 'Navy Queen 2007'.
