A Labrador belonging to Mr. Pusapati Subrahmanyeswara Raj Kumar Raju, Junior Manager (Stores), Visakhapatnam Steel Plant delivered 15 pups at his residence near Gurdwara Junction. Of these, two pups have died.

BOOK-WEEK CELEBRATIONS AT PUBLIC LIBRARY
BOOK-WEEK CELEBRATIONS AT PUBLIC LIBRARY: The public library at Dwarakanagar celebrated its library weekday on the 21st of November, as part of 36th National Library Week celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, leading chartered accountant and librarian Mr. M. Sitaramaiah said that most of the libraries are being maintained by the educational institutions for their students, while the Public Libraries are meant for the benefit of the general public as also students. The Public Library was started two years ago with funds from the industrial sector. Andhra University's chief librarian Dr.C.Sasikala, VS Krishna Government College principal, Mrs. M. Karuna and Prof. RSR Varalaxmi participated in the inaugural function.

Launching of Sagar Manjusha vessel

BUOY TENDER CUM RESEARCH VESSEL LAUNCHED: The 145th vessel 'Sagar Manjusha', set sail from the second berth of Hindustan Shipyard Limited (HSL) on the 3rd of November 2005. The Buoy Tender cum Research Vessel was launched by Mrs. Shoba Goel, wife of Mr P.S. Goel, Secretary, Department of Ocean Development, which is built by HSL and designed by National Ship Design Research Center (NSDRC) for Chennai based National Institute of Ocean Technology (NIOT).

The vessel is 60 meter long, 11 meter wide and five meter deep. It is powered with two main engines of caterpillar with a total Horse Power of 1156. The Vessel is equipped with three generators of 296 KVA capacities each and 2 Echo Sounders, 2 Bow thrusters and retrival of buoy tenders. The vessel is fully air-conditioned and suitable for carrying at least 11 scientists, eight officers and 10 crew members.
