BRUTAL MURDER IN VIZAG DISTRICT

PWG brutally murders Minister for Tribal Affairs, Ms. M. Manikumari's husband, M. Venkataraju:

The banned naxalite group, the PWG (People's War Group) has gone on the rampage in the agency area, this time by brutally murdering the husband of the Minister for Tribal Affairs Ms. M. Manikumari. Seeking to make a statement by this sensationalist killing, the PWG are trying to regain lost ground in the north Telangana area. Mr M. Venkataraju was shot at point-blank range by a lone gunman, after the driver of his vehicle has been disabled by a first shot.

The PWG have also blown up the market place in Chintapalli, obstructed roads near Sileru, set ablaze a bus and wrecked the railway station in Koraput.

Mr Venkaraju's death has been condemned by different political leaders such as the Mayor, Ms Rajana Ramani, MLA, K. Haribabu, former MP, M.V.V.S. Murthy to name a few and they all offer their condolences to Ms. M. Manikumari on her terrible loss.
