Santi Peetam trust, set up at East Point Colony, will be supervising the project. The trust has applied to the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority for 100 acres of land outside the city. The ownership of the land will be with the Devasthanam alone. The project is estimated to cost Rs. 5 crore, and some who have enrolled themselves as members of the Santi Peetam Trust, have opened their account in Andhra Bank Waltair Branch to assemble funds.

Rama Krishna Rao Muchimilli, also known as Santi Baba, was born on 15 September 1935 in an orthodox family of saints and poets. A distinguished advocate, Mr. Ramakrishna Rao practiced law for ten years, and went on to serve a National Finance Institution for the next 25 years. He retired from active service in 1992, but continued to conduct lectures concerning legal matters and served as a nominee director in several reputed companies. In 1996, he founded the Santi Peetam Trust, a peace club. His sole aspiration is to improve quality of human life and spread peace in the world. Well versed in Sanskrit and Literary and Spiritual Classics, he has several publications in Telugu, English and Sanskrit to his credit.
