" SRI SATHYA SAI SEVA ORGANISATION EXTENDS HELPING HAND TO THE POOR & NEEDY"

As part of the 85th Birthday celebrations, 85 poor and needy persons were given new clothes by Waltair uplands Bhajana Mandali under the aegis of Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi on 24th October, 2010.

All the 85 beneficiaries have performed Sri Sathya Sai Divya Vratham with utmost devotion and fervor. Later Sri GKP Mukunda Rao, District president, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Vizag District and Sri DSN Murthy, Convener, Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi, Sri Naidu, Convener, Waltair Uplands Bhajana Mandali presented new clothes and Prasadam 85 needy persons who were identified from CBM compound, balaji nagar, Ramnagara, old CBI, China waltair, Jalaripeta, Sramika nagar and old CBI down areas. The new clothes include a saree, a blouse, one blanket, one lungi and one towel.

SRI SATHYA SAI VRATHAMS PERFORMED BY YOUTH

At another function held on Sunday, Sri Sathya Sai Youth performed 'SRI SATHYA SAI DIVYA VRATHAMS" at Prema Sadan Mandir at MVP Colony under the aegis of youth of Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi. Around 100 youth performed Vratham with utmost devotion and gaiety for Universal peace and Harmony under the guidance of Sri MS Prakasa Rao, AP State Co-ordinator (Cultural), Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation. Sri GKP Mukunda Rao, District president, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Vizag District and Sri DSN Murthy, Convener, Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi, Sri Karra Ramesh, Joint District Youth Coordinator, several other office bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation were also present on the occasion.

'Avatar prakatana dinotsavam' celebrated

The 'avatar prakatana dinotsavam' was celebrated with fervour and gaiety by hundreds of devotees of Sri Sathya Saibaba with 'mahanagara sankirtana' on Wednesday.The 'sankirtana' began at Turner's Choultry near Super Bazar and reached Prema Sadan at Sri Satyasai Vidya Vihar at MVP Colony, covering thoroughfares.District president of Sri Satya Sai Seva Organisations G.K.P. Mukunda Rao inaugurated the 'sankirtana' and the specially-built Sai Prema Ratham as part of the 85 {+t} {+h} birthday celebration of Sri Sathya Saibaba.Folk arts like 'tappetagullu' and 'kolatam', dresses depicting human values and non-violence, singing of bhajans marked the 'sankirtana'.A special edition of the newsletter 'Saispandana' was released on the occasion.Former minister Bhattam Srirama Murthy, president of Bothra group B. Ramgopal, convener of city seva samiti D.S.N. Murthy, district sevadal in-charge V.R. Nageswara Rao and students and staff of the Vidya Vihar participated.

Purnahuthi was performed and nimajjanam (immersion) of puuja dravyams at beach was also done on saturday GKP MUKUNDA RAO, DSN MURTHY, B.RAMGOPAL, President, Bothra group of companies and several others, hundreds of devotees were present

" AKHSHARABHYASAM (LETTER WRITING CEREMONY) &

PUJAS PERFORMED BY SRI SATHYA SAI SEVA SAMITHI"

As part of dasara celebrations, Aksharabhyasam(letter writing ceremony) was performed at prema Sadan of Sri Sathya sai city seva samithi on 13th October, 2010. More than 70 budding children were administered akhsharabhyasam amidst vedic chanting by pundit Sri Udaya Bhaskara Sharma. Parents, grand parents participated enthusiastically in the above programme.

Lady devotees performed Devi puja, Kumkuma puja, and saraswathi puja today. They also chanted Lalitha sahasra namam on the occasion.

200 ladies have participated in the above pujas under the guidance of Smt.Saraswathi, today.

All the programmes are being coordinated by Sri DSN Murthy, Convener, Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi.

TO SPREAD AWARENESS ABOUT GLOBAL WARMING"

As part of 85th birthday celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, various activities are being taken up by the Spiritual, Educational and Seva wings of Sri Sathya Seva Organisations, Visakhapatnam District.

The Balvikas (Educational wing) students of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Visakhapatnam have enthusiastically planted trees as their part of contribution to save planet Earth from Global warming and adverse consequences of deforestation.

The balvikas children have drawn inspiration reflecting Bhagwan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's message of respecting nature and helping society. Bhagwan says "nature and society are limbs of God'. The children have planted saplings in various parts of the city with a slogan '"Plant trees- save Earth, Service to Society and Nature is Service to God'

Several balvikas students and balvikas Gurus have enthusiastically participated in the programme.

DASARA CELEBRATIONS START ON A GRAND SCALE"

With the divine grace of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba, the DASARA celebrations were started on a grand scale at Prema Sadan of Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi, MVP Colony on Tuesday. The celebrations started with bringing Goddess Durga statue in a procession from the house of sri Ranganath and mrs Lakshmi located just outside the mandir accompanied by ladies carrying "108 Kalasams".

Several spiritual and cultural activities are being organized as part of The Dasara celebrations by Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi from 12th to 17th October, 2010.

Sri GKP Mukunda Rao, District President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisations, Visakha district, Sri DSN Murthy, Convener, Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi lighted the jyothi and started the celebrations.

Smt.Saraswathi lead the ladies in performing the Kumkuma Puja and rendering of Lalitha Sahasranamam with utmost devotion and fervor.

More than 200 ladies and office bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation have participated in the above function.

As part of 85th Birthday celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Saibaba, a "85 hour non-stop" Akhanda Nama Sankirthana was inaugurated by Prof.A.Prasanna Kumar, Director, Centre for Policy Studies, Sri B.Ramgopal, President, Bothra Group of Companies, Sri MS Prakasa Rao, AP State coordinator (Cultural), Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation and Sri GKP Mukunda Rao, district President, Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation, Visakhapatnam District by lighting the Jyothi at Prema Sadan, Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar School campus, MVP Colony, today.

The above Akhanda Nama Sankirthana is being organized from 6 am on 7th October (Thursday) 2010 to 7 pm on 10th October (Sunday) to seek the blessings of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Saibaba for Universal Peace and Harmony.

Singers of Sri Sathya Sai City Seva Samithi, youth, students and staff of Sri Sathya Sai Vidya Vihar School, Balvikas students, Balvikas Gurus and hundreds of devotees from various Bhajana Mandalis are participating in this noble Akhanda Nama Sankirthana.
