Russia always values its relations with India

A delegation from Chelyabinsk Region of Russian Federation arrived to a warm and traditional welcome by Visakhapatnam Steel Plant at Ukkunagram, today. The delegation was led by Mr. Boris Dubrovsky, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region. Mr. P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL extended a traditional welcome to the delegation.

On their arrival, they visited the Model Room, Coke Ovens and Wire Rod Mill-2. They were apprised of the products rolled out by RINL and the technology incorporated in the plant. They were full of high praise for VSP for its green cover in and around the plant.
Later, a function was organized at the Multi-purpose hall in Ukkunagaram to commemorate the occasion of 70 years of Indo-Russian Relations.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Boris Dubrovsky, Governor of the Chelyabinsk Region observed that Russia highly valued its relations with India and was for always for further strengthening the bond in all areas of co-operation. He said, the visit would help the Russian delegation come up with new ideas/perspectives to further collaborate in industrial development. He commended RINL highly for emerging as a strong industrial base in the country and expressed happiness that Russia played a major role in the construction of Vizag Steel Plant. He felicitated five employees of VSP as a token of appreciation for their contribution in RINL that furthered the development of commercial and economic relations between Chelyabinsk and the State of Andhra Pradesh.
Sri P Madhusudan, CMD, RINL in his opening remarks lauded the intense co-operation and bi-lateral relations existing between the two nations. He said that relations between New Delhi and Moscow were traditionally built on mutual trust and friendship and added that the establishment of Vizag Steel Plant with the Russian co-operation and technology was a major landmark in the industrial development of India and particularly Visakhapatnam. The Chelyabinsk region is abundant with great mines and their mineral wealth offered a lot of opportunities for further prospects between the two nations.
The Russian delegation comprised of Mr. Ruslan Gattarov, Deputy Governor of Chelyabinsk, Mr Sergey Sushkov, Minister of Agriculture of the region, Mr. Anton Bakhayev, Deputy Minister for Economic Development, Mr. Glukharev, Deputy Director of Foreign Economic activities and Ms. Olga Aleynikova, Director of International co-operation development etc.
Earlier, a presentation was made by RINL, highlighting the Russian collaboration in the construction of Vizag Steel Plant and the role played by the Russian consultants.
Sri Krishna Kishore, CEO, Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board was also present on the occasion.
Sri PC Mohapatra, Director (Projects), Sri DN Rao, Director (Operations), Sri KC Das, Director (Personnel) and senior officers of RINL participated.
