 APPLICATION FOR SETTING UP A NEW UNIT
 
1. At the Zone :

Provision has been made for filing the application through ONLINE for setting up a unit in VSEZ or an EOU. To avail this facility click ONLINE APPLICATION. The application will be processed at the zone administration. The documents needed to be attached to the application can be sent separately by Post/Courier.

For filing the application through off-line click APPENDIX-14A and download the proforma.

The Application should be submitted to the Development Commissioner, Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone in 3 copies along with a crossed demand draft of Rs.5,000/- drawn in favour of Pay & Accounts Officer, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Department of Commerce payable at the Central Bank of India, Udyog Bhawan, New Delhi. The following documents shall accompany the application:

  1. Proof of residence in respect of Individuals and Partnership Firms (Passport/Ration Card/Driving Licence/Voter Identity Card or any other proof) to the satisfaction of Development Commissioner.

  2. Income Tax Returns of the promoters for the last three years (PAN).

  3. Experience of the Promoters, marketing tie-ups etc.

  4. Web site address of the unit.

  5. E-mail Address.

  6. EOUs proposed to be set up on leased premises shall submit a lease agreement with the owner of the premises valid for a minimum period of 5 years.

The application may be filed by the company, or by the promoter (before incorporation of the company) and later transferred to the company on receipt of approval from VSEZ.

Projects are approved and a Letter of Permission (LoP) is sent by the Development Commissioner, VSEZ.

On receipt of Letter of Permission, the applicant has to execute a Legal Undertaking (LUT) with the Development Commissioner, VSEZ in APPENDIX-14D agreeing to the terms of LOP.

Allotment of Plots/built up space is made as per the requirements of the unit, after the issue of Letter of Permission.

After allotment of plot/built up space, a Lease Deed has to be executed with the Development Commissioner, VSEZ and registered with the Sub-Registrar of Assurances, Sabbavaram, Vishakhapatnam District. Stamp Duty and Registration Fee are exempted.

 
2. The Registrar of Companies:

For allotment of name as an Indian Company, and thereafter for registration under the Indian Companies Act, 1956 apply to,
