VSEZ InfrastrureVisakhapatnam Special Economic Zone, offers state of the art infrastructural facilities as a cost-effective solution for operational ease. The Zone offers 367 acres (145.80 hectares) of opportunity, offering world class infrastructure and support services. The Zone provides developed plots and Standard Design Factory (SDF) Complexes with all supportive facilities like in-house customs clearances, reliable power, water, state of the art Satellite Earth Station for software exporters etc.

A new Standard Design Factory (SDF-II) Complex was constructed in the zone at a cost of Rs.7.25 crores. This complex has 16 units of 550 sq mtr (approx) each with a total built up space of 1.0 lakh sft. (approx). An optic fibre link is being laid to benefit the Software Exporters. This complex is ideally suited for Software units especially the Call Centres.

VSEZ InfrastrureAn exclusive Gen & Jewellery Complex, in joint venture with a diamond processing unit in VSEZ, is taken up for construction. The cost of the project is Rs.13.00 crores. The Complex when completed will provide direct employment to 5000 skilled/semi-skilled workers. This Complex is expected to be ready shortly.

Facilities are provided to set up Export Oriented Industrial Units in the zone. The most important of them are the basic infrastructure facilities, supportive services and utilities necessary for the units. These include developed plots, built up space, power, water and telecom lines at nominal rates. Besides, in-house customs facilities and support services like Post Office, Banks, Executive Canteens, Courier, C&F Agents, Travel Agents, Xerox etc., are also available within the zone premises.

The Zone is an ideal enclave for setting up of industries for manufacture, processing, trading, software and IT enabled services etc. Availability of high potent managerial, technical and skilled manpower along with other supporting services like the banking, hospitality, economic housing, education and health care facilities stand as a boon to the entrepreneurs.

 
Developed Plots : 
Developed plots in the  order of  ˝ acre and  above are given on renewable lease basis for a period of 15 years and the tariff is Rs20/- per sqm/annum with a liberal concession in lease rent as follows:-
  • 75% in the 1st year,
  • 50% in the 2nd year and
  • 25% in the 3rd year.

Hence, the unit will have to pay full rentals only from the 4th year onwards.

Built-up space in the Standard Design Factory (SDF) Complex :

A separate block in the Standard Design Factory (SDF) Complex is exclusively earmarked for Software units. Built-up space is provided in the range of 5000 sqft (approximately) and above in the SDF Complex-I. The tariff is Rs375/- per sqm/annum with a liberal concession of

  • 50% in the 1st year,

  • 40% in the 2nd year and

  • 25% in the 3rd year.

Hence, the unit will have to pay full rentals only from the 4th year onwards.

 
Power:

A dedicated 33/11 kV substation provides uninterrupted power supply to the units. Another 132/33 kV line is getting ready to meet the growing need of power for the present and future requirements. Zone units have to pay only 50% of applicable development charges.

Water:

Water is provided to the Zone Units from the nearby reservoir and standby arrangements are available and you need to pay only the consumption charges. The tariff is Rs.31/- per 1000 liters. The units are exempted from payment of capital contribution charges.

Telecommunications:

Apart from BSNL network, communication facilities like landlines and mobile services extended by several private operators are also available.

High Speed Datacom Facility:

The Zone offers connectivity according to the requirements of the Software Export units. A state-of-the-art 01F2 Earth Station is commissioned in VSEZ approved by the INTELSAT OPERATING SYSTEM (IOC) which will support both uplinking and downlinking from VSEZ itself. The Earth Station provides Softlink, Softpoint and Softcon facilities. Software Technology Parks Of India (STPI) monitors the Satellite Earth Station and offers round the clock technical support to the units.

Dining Hall-cum-Creche:

For the benefit of the employees in the zone, a Common Dining Hall is constructed by the zone administration. Provision has also been made for a Creche for children of women workers.

Support Services:

Banks, Executive Canteen, Post Office, Courier, Xerox, Clearing & Forwarding agents etc. are also available within the Zone premises.
