ENC CROSS COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP 2009-10 CONDUCTED :
Eastern Naval Command Cross Country Championship 2009-10 was held on 1st August, 2009 at INS Dega. All ships and establishments of Eastern Naval Command including outstation units from Tamil Nadu took part in the event. The participants were grouped into six teams of 12 participants each. The competition was held in two categories of four and twelve kilometers distance. The races were flagged off by Chief Guest Captain SS Bal, Commanding Officer, INS Dega at 0600 hours. The Championship conducted within the premises of INS Dega itself was governed by the standard AAFI rules.
The four kilometer race was won by Shiju PS Radio Operator II of Fleet ‘A’ team and the twelve kilometer race by Kapil Kumar Seaman I of Fleet ‘A’ team. Fleet ‘B’ team were the runners up, and the Cross country Championship for the year 2009-10 was won by the Fleet ‘A’ team. Captain SS Bal gave away prizes to individual winners and trophies to the Champion and Runners up teams.

Officers Association (MNOA), Visakhapatnam on 10th February,
2009. MNOA cricketers won the thriller of a cricket match in a nail biting finish which went to the wire.
MNOA made 222 for 7 wickets in 19.5 overs to win the match after restricting the opponents Coromandel cricket club
to 221 for 5 in 20 overs.
