KAUMUDI TO LAUNCH 'A MESSAGE A DAY' TRAFFIC CARTOONS

Mr V.S.K Kaumudi - Commissioner of Police

Poor traffic sense in Vizagites will soon be corrected in a lighter but effective note as the new Commissioner of Police of Visakha region, Mr V.S.K Kaumudi is all set to launch a novel drive titled 'A Message A Day'. The drive would constitute two cartoon images, the first would sight the incorrect driving practice and the second will feature the correct driving practice.

"Using media channels like the newspapers, cable TV networks, city-based web portals etc, we hope to inculcate proper driving sense in people. Defaulters of Traffic regulations will however, be taken to task", said Kaumudi in an exclusive interview with VizagCityOnline.com.

Parking woes in the city will soon be wiped out as a 'Master plan' with clearly earmarked parking spaces will be notified to general public. Speed breakers on the Beach Road will cease rash bike racers racing practices. A 'Traffic Advisory Board' has been formed and effective measures are being initiated to avoid accidents by decongesting the accident-prone site in the city.

There's justice in sight for the women in the city as Police authorities are set to take strict action against eve teasers, spouses' responsible for marital discord and men who do not keep up to the required moral code of conduct in public will be appropriately dealt with.

The Commissioner of Police, Mr V.S.K. Kaumudi has gone a step ahead with hi-tech help at hand. People can post their grievance to him at cpvizagcity@rediffmail.com, cpvizagcity@hotmail.com and cpvizagcity@yahoo.com respectively. Identity is kept secret and prompt replies to e-mails is the order of the day.
