Cops recovered 2 kg gold from youngster : The III Town Police had arrested Mr. K. Satish of Resapuvanipalem and recovered 2kg gold and other costly equipment worth about 75 lakh rupees and produced him before the media on Saturday. Mr. B. Purnachandra Rao, Commissioner of Police informed the media, that 2 Kgs gold, 1.5 Kgs Silver, Sony Handy Cam, 400 Austrialian dollars, 20 American dollars, diamonds etc were found among the recovered products. He congratulated the crew comprising of CI Lakshmana Murthy, SI Ganesh, SI Konda, SI Haribabu, ASI Radha Krishan, HC Suribabu, HC Appa Rao, HC Younis, Constables Ganesh, Nayarayana, Ramakrishna, Santhosh.

30 Tolas gold, 15 thousand cash stolen : Gold ornaments of about 30 tolas and 15 thousand rupees cash was found stolen from Krishi Finance Limited in Anakapalle on Tuesday. According to the police sources, four unidentified persons arrived in a car , number plate AP 10AP 122 at about 12 noon and headed to meet the Branch Manager Mr. Koteswara Rao KFL, saying they had come from the Head Quarters of KFL. On asking for identification,they said their I D cards were in the car and requested the cashier Mr. Trimurthulu to follow them to the car. Mr. Thrimurthulu ,when returned without finding the ID cards, saw the Branch Manager lying across with heavy injuries. Later he was taken to hospital for treatment. On investigation ,Ms. Shakeela Bhanu, DSP and the police team identified 30 tolas gold and 15 thousand cash was found missing. The Police is investigating the case. Krishi Finance Limited is associated with Spandana Microfinance Limited.

Two held for gold theft : City police have arrested two women in a theft case on Saturday. According to Mr. J. Purnachandra Rao, Commissioner of Police, T. Madhavi (39 years), caught on a CC TV at Syam Jeveri Jewellers recently while snatching gold ornaments along with her daughter. She was taken into custody, based on a complaint. She was involved in 13 various cases registered at Srikakulam, Rajahmundry, Kakinada, Jaggampeta, Pithapuram etc., he mentioned. Police recovered seven lakh rupees worth gold ornaments from her. Commissioner adviced all the businessmen, apartment residents to install closed circuit cameras at their premises to prevent theft cases. Later he presented two women at the conference.

50 tolas gold ornaments robbed : One more big robbery was registered with city police on Friday. Mr. Premchand, an industrialist, resident of Daspalla Hills, was found almerah opened in the early hours of Friday, unidentified culprits broke open the window of his house. About 50 tolas gold ornaments and five thousand cash found lost, even though all the members of his family were in sleep. Gold ornaments like bangles, earrings, flat bangles, necklace and other items weighs 50 tolas were among the lost property. On the next they had complained with the city police, Mr. Krishna Murthy Naidu, ACP - East inspected the spot and Mr. Lakshmana Murthy, Inspector of III Town Police Station is investigating the case.
